TVS has been working on an adventure motorcycle for quite some time now. And instead of targeting the highly competitive sub-500 cc segment, the brand wants to operate in the slightly more accessible 300 cc class with its Apache RTX 300. The adventure motorcycle was supposedly at Auto Expo 2025 but it wasn’t shown to the public. However, the design patent image of the upcoming adventure motorcycle has surfaced online.
It does look pretty impressive. It is giving us a bit of Aprilia Tuareg 660-vibes with the tall dual LED headlight, sleek half fairing and a tall windshield. It will not be quite as hardcore as the Tuareg, or even the KTM 390 Adventure or Royal Enfield Himalayan. TVS is aiming to make the Apache RTX 300 a pleasant all-rounder, with good touring intentions. Hence, the image depicts an alloy wheel setup, likely to be a 19-/17-inch one.
What we do know so far is that the motor on the bike is going to be all-new. TVS will be putting its learnings from the BMW-jointly developed 310 platform to good use for the new RTXD4 platform. The new 299 cc mill will push out 34 bhp and 28.5 Nm. A six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch is also present and we hope that TVS devises a bi-directional quickshifter for the same.
We should expect the new adventure motorcycle in the coming few months. It is likely to be priced at around ₹2.40 lakh - ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom India), which is on par with the likes of the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the Yezdi Adventure.
