The range is quite diverse from a full-blown big adventure bike to the world’s first-of-its-kind CNG bike.
2024 has been off to a great start with several manufacturers ushering new offerings which are more than point A to B vehicles. After the launch of the new Kawasaki ZX-6R in January, we also witnessed the arrival of the biggest Pulsar as of yet, with the Pulsar NS400Z, and the most premium Hero motorcycle yet in the form of the Mavrick 440. However, there’s more. And in June 2024, both us enthusiasts and the mass market will be left spoilt for sure.
Bajaj might finally be able to break the Japanese dominance in the 125 cc commuter segment with the Bruzer 125 CNG – the first production bike to be powered by CNG fuel. This will not only lead to low running costs but in turn, will also offer a great cost-effective alternative to a similar petrol-powered motorcycle which includes the likes of the Honda Shine 125 and Hero Super Splendor. We have already spotted the bike several times before, and there will be two different trim levels for the same, Prices are expected to be somewhere in the range of ₹80,000 - ₹85,000, so its target audience is the masses.
The new compact, more powerful, and comparatively lighter R 1300 GS is all set to launch in India in the next few days. While it still looks big and bulky, it has gone through some serious weight shredding. Not only are the new sleeker body panel design helping in the shredded look but also the engine and chassis have become lighter. So, despite being powered by a bigger and brand new 1300 cc boxer-twin motor that makes 145 bhp and 149 Nm, the engine itself is 4 kg lighter than the outgoing 1254 cc mill. We will be riding the bike next week, stay tuned for all the latest updates.

Triumph ushered in a new era of sorts when it unveiled the new Daytona 660 globally earlier this year. It was the latest model to launch with the brand’s 660 cc inline-3 engine, which is also available with the naked roadster Trident 660 and the road-biased adventure tourer Tiger Sport 660. However, keeping matters interesting will be the high-revving character of the engine which at 11,250 rpm is the highest amongst the three. The bike will be launched here in June, and it might be priced at around ₹9 lakh (ex-showroom).
The sporty-oriented commuter scooter segment was till now dominated by the Honda Dio 125, TVS NTorq 125 and Suzuki Avenis125. To make this segment all the more spicier will be the launch of the Hero Xoom 125R. It’s aggressive, and yet sci-fi-ish design will be quite the attention grabber, plus when you combine it with Hero’s stellar reputation with regards to reliability and a good extensive service network – the Hero Xoom 125R will be a good reckoner.
