Building on the extensive updates that Triumph introduced with the Tiger 1200 range back in 2022, comes the new 2024 Triumph Tiger 1200 range. Broadly divided into two variants, GT Pro and Rally Pro, from 2024 onwards the additional Explorer variant will be available as a special request in the country. The Tiger 1200 GT Pro carries a sticker price of ₹19.39 lakh and the Rally trim will set you back by ₹20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which makes the variants ₹20,000 dearer than before.
As for the updates for 2024, both trims now get a bigger 29-litre fuel tank. Mechanically, Triumph has altered a few internal components to make the 1,160 cc, inline-three engine more refined than before, with low-rev torque delivery without compromising on performance. So, it produces the same 147 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

Making matters further comfortable is a bigger and flatter seat in both the bikes and a longer clutch lever. Lastly, to make the bike forever accessible at all times, Triumph has standardised its Active Preload Reduction feature, which can help reduce the height of the bike at just the touch of a button.
Lastly, to help differentiate the updated Triumph Tiger 1200 range from before are new colour options. The Triumph Tiger GT now gets a new shade of red called Carnival Red, while the Rally gets a new Matte Sandstorm option – alongside the previously existing schemes.

While the list of updates might not be very extensive, they should make a noticeable impact to the riding experience. Coupled with that minimal price hike, both the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT and Rally variants just became all the more enticing in a segment populated by premium options like the BMW R 1300 GS, and the Ducati Multistrada V4 S.
