Xiaomi Announces Redmi 13 5G Launch Date in India, Key Specs Revealed

Xiaomi has announced that its next budget 5G smartphone, the Redmi 13 5G, will launch in India on July 9. It marks the arrival of the successor to last year's Redmi 12 5G which, as per IDC was one of the highest-selling phones in Q3, 2023.

Redmi India confirmed the launch date through a Twitter post, revealing that the Redmi 13 5G launch event will start at 12 PM IST on July 9. A dedicated microsite for the phone has also gone live on the Xiaomi India website, giving buyers a first look at the design and colours.

Per the teasers, the phone has a flat display with thin bezels and a slightly thicker chin. It will have a centred hole-punch cut-out for the front camera. A shiny glass panel on the back houses a dual rear camera module arranged in three circular bumps and an LED flash. The Redmi 13 5G will be available in Blue and Pink colour options. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection has also been confirmed for the front.

Under the hood, the Redmi 13 5G will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 Accelerated edition chipset. It features a 108MP primary camera and a large 5,030mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. Other key specs confirmed include Android 14-based HyperOS.

Like its predecessor, the Redmi 13 5G's pricing is expected to start around Rs 11,999. More details about the Redmi 13 5G will be revealed in the coming days.
