Not everybody will be privy to this special edition Ténéré 700, here’s why.

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been quite the revered badge amongst all adventure bike enthusiasts. Right from its rally bike-inspired design, coupled with that extremely tractable CP2 engine and long travel suspension setup, the Ténéré 700 is an ideal option for anyone who wants to explore uncharted territories, without any compromise. This format has worked wonders for Yamaha so much that the brand hasn't changed the bike much over the years. However, for the French market, Yamaha decided to give it a fresh look by debuting the Ténéré 700 Yamalube edition.

The new Yamaha Ténéré 700 Yamalube edition has been showcased as part of a promo campaign in collaboration with Yamalube. Only riders in France will be privy to this special edition bike, but not all will be able to buy it. One will have to win the ADV by entering a contest which will run until April 30.

Being a special edition bike, the Ténéré 700 gets quite the exclusive dark blue, light blue and black livery with “Yamalube” graphic proudly plastered across the tank section. There are subtle hints of the silver accents too across the body, all of which comes together really to give it a bright, yet subtle striking appeal.

Beyond that exclusive livery treatment, Yamaha has also befitted the Ténéré 700 with all the bolt-ons, that are otherwise available as accessories with the standard bike. This includes GYTR footpegs, and a blacked-out Akrapovic muffler, with a blacked out engine guard with skid plates.

Besides that exclusive livery, the rest of the bike is still the same.

The rest of the bike remains unchanged. So, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Yamalube continues to be powered by the same 689 cc, CP2 engine that is good for 72.41 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 68 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch, as standard. Feature-wise, there are no revisions too.

While we are not sure if the Ténéré 700 will be launched in India or not. It was showcased earlier this year at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. There are reports that claim that the adventure tourer will launch in the country between late-2025 to early-2026. If the Japanese commit to it then adventure bike enthusiasts in the country will be spoilt for choice. After all, the middleweight segment in the country already has the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, KTM 890 Adventure R, BMW 900 GS, and the Triumph Tiger 900s.
