Holi: Holi celebrates the onset of spring and signifies the triumph of good over evil. The day is marked with people splashing coloured water and smearing coloured powder on each other. A play is enacted by a group of men and women along with songs and dances.

Janmashtami: Janmashtami is observed as the birth of Lord Krishna by Hindus in India and across the world. The festival falls on the Bhadon month of the Hindu calendar which is in August or September of the Gregorian calendar. Special events and celebrations are held in cities like Vrindavan and Mathura.

Ganga Mahotsav: An integral part of Hindu tradition and culture, river Ganga is a holy river and highly revered by Hindu pilgrims. The Ganga Mahotsav is organised on the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi. The festival is dedicated to Goddess Ganga and the river Ganga. People visiting Ganga take a dip in the river and pray to Goddess Ganga.
