At the core of the TVS RTR 125 LC is a liquid-cooled 125 cc, four-valve DOHC engine that generates 14.7 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission equipped with a multiplate assist-and-slipper clutch. Riders can also select from distinct ride modes to tailor power delivery to varying road and weather conditions.

The motorcycle is built around a Synchro Stiff trellis frame paired with a cast swingarm. Up front, it features a 41 mm KYB inverted fork, while suspension at the rear is managed by an adjustable monoshock. Stopping power is delivered by a 300 mm front disc brake with a radially mounted Bybre caliper and a 240 mm rear disc, backed by dual-channel ABS. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in a 100/80-17 front and a wide 140/70-R17 rear tyre.
