New launches, festive discounts and a potential trademark dispute.
With the festive period in full swing, discount offers have become the order of the day from two-wheeler makers. Further giving boost to this momentum is the onslaught of new product launches.
After making its official India debut at the inaugural Bharat Mobility Expo earlier this year, the Suzuki GSX-8R has now officially launched in the country. Priced at ₹9.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the new Japanese middleweight sport bike undercuts the Triumph Daytona 660 by almost ₹50,000. Just like the V-Strom 800 DE, the new Suzuki GSX-8R is also powered by the same 776 cc, parallel-twin engine. However, unlike the adventure bike, the latter is lighter and thereby should be quicker and agile. To know more about the new Gixxer, tap the link here.
After the CE 04, comes the CE 02 from BMW Motorrad India. Unlike the hefty, feature-rich and gigantic CE 04, the new BMW CE 02 is a skinny, funky electric monkey bike. Making the CE 02 all the more niche is its ex-showroom price of ₹4.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Thus making it a lifestyle product for sure. So what are the key highlights of the new BMW CE 02? Check out in our first look video below:
We’re just a few weeks away from the world’s most popular motorcycle event (EICMA) set to take place in Milan. The Austrian brand confirmed this week that it is gonna showcase not just one, or two or even five — but almost 13 brand new spanking motorcycles – along with a bunch of new technologies.
For us, the next generation of KTM 390 Adventure, which comprise the 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R and the 390 SMC R, will be the big takeaways. Additionally, KTM India also updated the 200 Duke for 2024 with the latest 5-inch TFT display from the current 390 Duke, later this week. It also gained a bunch of new colour options. One of the biggest news of the week has to be Bajaj Auto being given a potential trademark infringement lawsuit by SG Corporate Mobility, the parent company of LML. The latter claims that the Chakan-based manufacturer is using its “Freedom” trademark on the world’s first CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125, which LML believes it was its own to begin with. The LML Freedom from the early 2000s was a known motorcycle in the commuter space back and LML might bring an electric bike in the future with the same name. Alongside expanding its premium bike portfolio, Suzuki is also working side by side to keep its popular 125 cc commuter scooter new and relevant. The latest spy shot of the upcoming Access 125 test mule gives us an idea of how changes will also be aimed to make it look more premium and sportier. It might also stand to gain a bunch of new features, for the full rundown of all that is expected of the upcoming Suzuki Access 125, tap the link here.
