Asus is all set to unveil ROG Ally X on June 2.
Asus is gearing up to unveil its next-generation ROG Ally gaming handheld ahead of Computex 2024. In a tweet earlier today, the company announced it will hold a livestream event on June 2 to unveil the Asus ROG Ally X, the successor to the ROG Ally (review) which launched in July 2023.
The live stream will be on Asus' YouTube and Twitch channels starting at 2 PM IST (1:30 p.m. PST/9:30 p.m. UTC) on June 2. During the event, Asus is expected to provide full specifications and details about the new ROG Ally X.
Some key updates for the Ally X have already been leaked and confirmed. It will pack a significant RAM upgrade with 24GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 7500MT/s. By default, storage has also been bumped to a 1TB M.2 2280 SSD.
While the display and CPU are believed to remain the same at 7 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate and the Ryzen Z1 Extreme, the new model should see an improved battery capacity of around 80Wh for long gaming sessions.
