The latest upgrade to its software stack brings both new features and a mobile app.
Alongside the launch of its new series of HALO smart helmets and Ather Rizta family electric scooters, Ather has also upgraded its AtherStack software. The features that will be available with the new AtherStack6 upgrade will be available to existing, including first-gen Ather, owners via over-the-air updates.
Building on the intuitive standards of features of the AtherStack 5, AtherStack 6 promises to further this experience with the introduction of an all new mobile app. Developed and designed in mind with the introduction of the new HALO helmet, the new Ather app is now more contextual than before and tries to give you the overall picture of your Ather scooter more extensively via a new feature called WidgetX. The beta version will be available for download from June onwards.
To keep your attention focused on riding the vehicle, Ather has addressed the interruptive nature of our daily apps. WhatsApp on Dash and auto reply to calls are the new additions that'll solve them.
AtherStack6 also gets you Ping My Scooter, Ather’s version of ‘Find My Phone’, which sees the scooter's horn beep and flash its indicators begging for your attention in a confusing parking lot. But the biggest update with AtherStack6 has to be the integration of Alexa. A feature that again harks back to the car-like experience that Ather Energy is trying to give its customers a taste of.

“With new features like WhatsApp on the dashboard, live location sharing and voice commands, we believe Ather Stack 6.0 will bring an important upgrade to rider safety, convenience and connectivity. Optimising the touchscreen dashboard and revamping the mobile app will offer a seamless ownership experience to both Rizta and Ather 450 customers,” concluded Swapnil Jain, Co-founder & CTO of Ather Energy.
