MG Motor India is also preparing to introduce the 'Black Edition' of its Astor model.
MG Motor India reported retail sales of 4,185 units for August 2023, indicating a year-on-year growth of approximately 10 per cent compared to August 2022. This positive trend in sales reflects the company's efforts to capitalise on the holiday season. In contrast, August 2022 witnessed a decline in dispatches for all MG car models. The Gloster model experienced the most significant decrease in numbers, with a decline of 26.59 per cent.
Meanwhile, the Hector and Hector Plus models displayed a 3.57 per cent month-on-month decline, and the Astor model saw a decline of 2.8 per cent. Notably, despite a 17 per cent decline in sales figures for the Astor model in August 2022, the car achieved four-figure sales for the month, aligning with the expectations set in the April month-on-month analysis.
MG Motor India is also preparing to introduce the 'Black Edition' of its Astor model, India's first SUV equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. This introduction is aimed at providing SUV enthusiasts with enhanced quality choices.
