With no new products introduced for 2024 in the consumer market Suzuki Motorcycles still manages to break its own record.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has achieved record-breaking sales figures in May 2024. The company sold a staggering 1,11,512 two-wheeler units, a significant 22 percent increase compared to the 91,316 units sold in May 2023. This marks a major milestone for Suzuki Motorcycles.
The growth story gets even more impressive when looking at domestic sales. Domestic numbers surged by a whopping 37 percent to 92,032 units compared to May 2023. This surpasses all previous domestic sales records for Suzuki Motorcycle India, highlighting a strong performance within the Indian market itself.
Suzuki Motorcycle India built on its momentum from April. It achieved even stronger sales figures in May 2024. Total sales climbed 12 percent to 1,11,512 units, compared to 99,377 units sold in April. This growth was driven primarily by domestic sales, which jumped 4% MoM to 92,032 units in May. However, export sales saw a significant turnaround, surging 72% to 19,480 units in May after a decline in April.

Suzuki Motorcycles India also has recently announced another significant achievement. It is manufacturing of its 8 millionth two-wheeler at its Kherki Dhaula plant in Gurugram. This remarkable feat was accomplished within just 19 years of operation in India. This included producing the last 1 million units in a mere year's time. Suzuki had also unveiled the 25th Anniversary Edition of the iconic Hayabusa. This commemorative model joined the existing lineup of the standard Hayabusa, Katana, and the recently launched Suzuki V-Strom 800DE.
