Hyundai

This new variant is ₹63,000 more affordable than the S(O)+ model that Hyundai launched with the Venue a few weeks back.

Making the Venue more affordable and attractive with the sunroof option, Hyundai has launched a new Venue S+ priced at ₹9.36 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest launch comes barely a few weeks after the Korean company launched the Venue S(O)+ variant, priced at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The quick successive launch of these new variants with sunroof as standard, suggests an aggressive push from the marque after it registered a 3 per cent drop in its sales last month i.e. July 2024.

The new Hyundai Venue S+ variant slots above the S variant, which is priced at ₹9.10 lakh, and below the Venue S(O) variant, which is priced at ₹9.89 lakh. Based on the former, the new Hyundai S+ carries forward the same exterior and interior features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a TFT digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, and a roof rail on the exterior.

Mechanically, it is powered by the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. On the safety front, the Hyundai Venue S+ comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, automatic headlamps, seatbelt reminder for all occupants, TPMS and ISOFIX child seat mounts as standard.

As for its competition, the Hyundai Venue S+ with the sunroof option will be quite the strong alternative to subcompact SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
