The new Galaxy Buds 3 lineup marks a significant departure from Samsung's previous design language
Samsung has introduced its latest generation of truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, at the Galaxy Unpacked event in Paris. The new lineup marks a significant departure from Samsung's previous design language, adopting a stem-like appearance that will remind you of Apple's AirPods.
The Galaxy Buds 3 series boasts several key features, including active noise cancellation (ANC), an IP57 dust and water resistance rating, and Galaxy AI capabilities. The standard Galaxy Buds 3 has an 11mm dynamic driver, while the Pro version features dual drivers with a 10.5mm dynamic speaker and a 6.1mm Planar driver.
One of the standout features is the integration of Galaxy AI, which introduces new communication experiences. Users can activate the Interpreter function in Listening mode when paired with compatible Galaxy devices, allowing for real-time translation of foreign language lectures directly through the earbuds. Additionally, Voice Command enables hands-free control of basic functions like play and pause.
The earbuds utilize Adaptive EQ and Adaptive ANC to optimize sound quality and noise cancellation based on real-time analysis of internal and external sounds. The Pro model also includes Ambient sound mode and Voice detection, which can distinguish between ambient noise and human voices.
Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy Buds 3 series supports Bluetooth 5.4 and various audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, SSC, HiFi, and SSC UHQ. They are compatible with Android devices running version 10 or higher with at least 1.5GB of RAM.
Battery life is impressive, with the standard Buds 3 offering up to 30 hours of total playback time (including the charging case) with ANC off, while the Pro version provides up to 26 hours with ANC on.
The Galaxy Buds 3 are priced at Rs 14,999, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will retail for Rs 19,999. Both models are available in Silver and White colour options. Pre-orders begin today, with general availability starting July 24.
