The three-row derivative of the new Duster could also come to India.
While we have already seen the India-bound Renault Duster, new spy shots of its three-row derivative have now surfaced online. Expected to be called the Bigster, it is also likely to follow the Duster to the Indian market.
The upcoming Renault Bigster will borrow a lot of its styling cues from the Duster. It will get a bold and chunky styling with trapezoidal wheel arches and functional roof rails. It can also be seen with C-pillar mounted door handles and five-spoke alloy wheels.
The Bigster will be extended aft of the rear doors to accommodate the third row of seats. Even the rear overhang (the part after the rear wheels) seems to be longer than the two-row Duster. Apart from this, the rear end of the Bigster seems similar to the Duster with the same C-shaped taillamps, wiper and extender rear spoiler.
A part of the interior is also visible in the spy shots. The images show the Bigster will get electrically adjustable front seats, a large infotainment touchscreen and the same steering wheel as the Duster. Other features on the Bigster are likely to include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, cruise control and more. In some markets, it is also expected to come as a two-row version with a bigger cargo area.
While the powertrain options remain under wraps, it is likely to get the same powertrains as the Duster. It could come with a hybrid powertrain with a 1.6-litre petrol engine and two electric motors with 138 bhp. It is likely to also get a 128 bhp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid tech and a 99 bhp, 1.0-litre petrol engine.
