Royal Enfield has a bunch of interesting and exciting motorcycles ready to be unleashed.
One two-wheeler brand which has been quite active with respect to new product launches over the past few years is Royal Enfield. The iconic Indian two-wheeler manufacturer has been busy churning out new motorcycles across various genres and engine displacements. Despite a slew of new launches, Royal Enfield isn’t done yet, not even close. Here’s the list of upcoming Royal Enfield bikes heading our way soon.
The big new launch of 2024 has to be the all-new Classic 650, the elder sibling of its bread and butter product, the Classic 350. It’s no surprise then that the styling of the bike has been kept similar to the popular 350 cc offering and RE designers have done a good job at it. Through the few spy shots of the production bike we know for a fact that the upcoming Royal Enfield bike will be offered in a varied range of retro shades and with dual-tone finish. Powering it will be the same 650 cc parallel-twin engine that we have seen on other RE’s offerings which is known for its monstrous wave of torque. The Royal Enfield Classic 650 could be priced between ₹3.30 to 3.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and it will compete against the BSA Gold Star 650. The bike will make its India debut at Motoverse in Goa next month.
Royal Enfield will expand the 650 cc family further by riding in the Interceptor Bear 650. It’s not an all-new motorcycle but more of a scrambler derivative of the Interceptor 650. The big difference will be in the hardware department as it runs on USD fork and features a conventional single-sided exhaust muffler. The lighter exhaust system should help it offer peppier performance and it also gets dual-purpose tyres. Another big change is that Bear 650 will be the first 650 cc RE bike to get an all-digital instrument console, it’s the same unit as seen on the Himalayan 450. The new bike will make its global debut at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show next month and we expect it to be priced around ₹3.40-3.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Classic Goan 350 will be the latest member in the J-platform family of 350 cc motorcycles. As the name suggests, it will be a bobber motorcycle based on the Classic 350. The bike features a tall handlebar, floating seat and white-walled tyres do give it a typical boober stance visuals and stance. A unique bit about the Classic Gopan 350 will be its detachable pillion seat to make it a single-seater. The upcoming motorcycle will feature the same 350 cc single-cylinder motor delivering 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm. What remains to be seen is if RE engineers give it a more aggressive tune like the Meteor 350, or keep it chill like the Classic 350. The RE Classic Goan 350 will make its India debut in Goa at the 2024 Motoverse and might carry a premium of around ₹10-12,000 over the standard variant.
The biggest unveiling at the 2024 EICMA motorcycle by an Indian brand will be Royal Enfield’s first electric motorcycle. The upcoming electric motorcycle seems to be inspired from the Flying Flea bike used by British soldiers in World War. The RE electric bike will have a retro-styling and through patents we can see it will have a girder fork, alloy wheels, single-seat and a belt drive system. The battery pack too looks very big and this should allow the Royal Enfield electric motorcycle to have a range of around 200-250 km. The India launch of the electric bike is expected in 2025 but we will have to wait till EICMA for more details.
