Right in the middle of the X Fold 3 Pro is Vivo's new carbon fiber 'Keel' hinge technology. This foldable mechanism allows the device to withstand up to 500,000 folds over its lifetime, which Vivo claims is equivalent to around 12 years of usage.
Some of the key specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, up to 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage. As a foldable phone, it features a 6.53-inch AMOLED display that unfolds to an 8.03-inch screen with 120Hz refresh rates and 4,500 nits brightness. The cameras on the X Fold 3 Pro include two 50-megapixel cameras (wide+UW) and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera.
It remains to be seen just how much of an impact Vivo's entry into the Indian foldable phone market creates as it is expected to be priced around Rs 1 lakh, undercutting the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and OnePlus Open.
