A month after revealing new variants of the Taigun, Volkswagen India has announced the prices for the Taigun GT Line and GT Plus Sport variants. Prices start at ₹14.08 lakh for the GT Line 1.0 TSI MT variant and go up to ₹19.74 lakh for the GT Plus Sport 1.5 TSI DSG variant (all prices ex-showroom, India).
Volkswagen Taigun Variants | Prices (ex-showroom, India) |
---|---|
GT Line 1.0 TSI MT | ₹14.08 lakh |
GT Line 1.0 TSI AT | ₹15.63 lakh |
GT Plus Sport 1.5 TSI MT | ₹18.54 lakh |
GT Plus Sport 1.5 TSI DSG | ₹19.74 lakh |
Volkswagen India rejigged the variant line-up of the Taigun, replacing Dynamic and Performance variant lines with Sport and Chrome variant lines. With this rejig, the GT badge becomes more accessible as it is now available with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The Taigun GT Line gets a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 178 Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. It has black exterior and interior accents which include the 17-inch alloy wheels, headlamps, grille, badges, rear diffuser, ORVMs, and more. Other features on the GT Line include a 10-inch digital instrument, red ambient lighting and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, among others.
On the other hand, the GT Plus Sport gets a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 148 bhp and 250 Nm. It is available with a choice of a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Like the GT Line trim, the GT Plus Sport also gets blacked-out exterior and interior accents. However, unlike the GT Line trim, it gets red GT badges and red brake callipers.
