With travel restrictions now relaxing, people are starting to go on road trips again. If you are also planning a journey through highways soon in your car, make sure you have an active FASTag. Since February 15, 2021, FASTag has become mandatory for personal/commercial four-wheeler vehicles while making toll payments on Indian highways.

How to check FASTag balance - Step-by-step procedure

FASTag allows you to pass through toll plazas faster. You need to get a FASTag issued from an issuing bank/agency and link it to a prepaid wallet. ACKO Drive offers you a quick and straightforward way to buy FASTag.

Once purchased, you can fix the issued FASTag on your car’s windscreen. Then, all your toll charges can be automatically deducted from your linked wallet through RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) at toll plazas. An RFID reads the tag to enable the required toll fee deduction from your FASTag wallet without you having to stop and wait.

But for automated payments, you need to ensure that you have enough balance in your FASTag account. Read on to understand all different ways of regularly conducting a FASTag balance check.
