JSW MG Motor India Reports 7,508 Wholesale Units Sold in August 2026, 14% YoY Growth

JSW MG Motor India has reported its sales figures for August 2026, with the total number of units sold coming in at 7,508. This marks an increase of 14 percent compared to 6,578 vehicles sold in the same month last year. Further details, such as breakups by model or powertrain, have not been disclosed, though the company does say that this figure shows “strong momentum across both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolios”.

The company previously said it set new monthly sales volume records in both June and July this year, when it sold 7,568 and 8,158 units respectively.

MG Hector Tomahawk Deliveries Begin

JSW MG Motor India has also confirmed that dispatches of its just-launched Hector Tomahawk EV have commenced across India, in line with its previously announced September 2026 target. Test drives and deliveries of the PHEV version are on track to begin in November.

The Hector Tomahawk is built on MG’s ADAPT platform, which supports multiple powertrain models and variants. It has been launched in India in both fully electric and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) incarnations. The Hector Tomahawk EV is priced starting at ₹13.99 lakh plus ₹4.90 per km with BaaS or ₹19.49 lakh if purchased outright.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV starts at ₹21.79 lakh plus ₹3.20 per km with BaaS, or ₹25.69 lakh for a direct purchase (all prices ex-showroom, introductory).
