Realme will introduce an all-new P-series phone lineup in India, according to a teaser video posted by company Vice President Chase Xu on social media. These phones have been created specifically for Indian users, according to Xu, and will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. The series is aimed at young consumers who want more powerful phones and better design in the mid-range budget segment. Realme aims to “democratise high-end technology” with value-driven premium products. Smrithi Ravichandran, Mobiles VP at Flipkart, also appeared in the video, promising a seamless shopping experience
Realme’s website teases two new models, the Realme P1 and Realme P1 Pro, both set to launch at 12pm on April 15. The Realme P1 will be priced starting under Rs. 15,000 and will have a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, which the company says will be the fastest in this price bracket. The page also teases a seven-layer vapour chamber cooling system. This phone appears to have flat sides and a flat display with a centred front camera hole. A 120Hz refresh rate and 2000 nits peak brightness rating have been confirmed, but other specifications have not yet been teased or announced.

On its corporate X (formerly Twitter) account, Realme posted a teaser showing a phone with a contoured frame and curved-edge display and a promise to “shatter the segment’s potential”. This appears to be the Realme P1 Pro, which will be priced under Rs. 20,000. This will be a curved-edge AMOLED panel, which the company claims will be the best in its segment for multiple reasons – a 120Hz refresh rate, narrow chin, PWM dimming, and Pro XDR colour reproduction. The Realme P1 Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and will feature a 3D vapour chamber cooling system. The company has also teased a “tactile engine” for vibration feedback, 45W SuperVOOC charging, and “rainwater touch” which refers to touch sensitivity even if the panel is wet.

In his video, Xu also stated that Realme passed the milestone of 100 million smartphones shipped in India in 2023. The new Realme P-series will coexist with the company’s mainstream number series as well as the value-focused Narzo and C-series. The high-performance GT series does not appear to be featured in Realme’s India catalogue anymore.
