Sikkim is a treat for nature lovers. The state is located near the Himalayas and offers wonderful views. Sikkim has four districts offering appealing scenery. Here’s a list of popular tourist places to visit in the state.

Tsomgo Lake: This lake is based near Gangtok and is also known as Changu Lake. You can find migratory birds at Tsomgo. Native people consider this lake to be sacred. Tourists will need a permit to visit Tsomgo lake.

Pemayangtse Monastery: This monastery was built in 1705 and is among the state’s oldest monasteries. The Pemayangtse monastery is for monks of Tibetan lineage. They are known as ta-tshang. This monastery is located 140 kilometres away from Gangtok.

Nathula Pass: Nathula Pass is on a route connecting Sikkim and Tibet. It is renowned as it is among the highest motorable roads across the globe. You need a permit to visit the scenic route of the Nathula Pass.

Buddha Park: The magnificent Buddha Park is located in Sikkim’s Ravangla area. It was built in 2006 and is known for its 130-feet Buddha Statue. The park is well-maintained and is of spiritual significance to the Buddhists.
